Class Times

Bell times
Lessons commence at 8:30am each day.
8:00am	Students reading and quiet time in the library
8:15am	Students transition to classrooms
8:25am	Morning session commences
10:30am	First break
11:10am	Middle session commences
1:00pm	Second break
1:30pm	Afternoon session commences
2:30pm	School day ends

Somerset Hills State School proudly supports the Queensland Government’s Everyday Counts Initiative and we strive to improve Students attendance to our school. School commences at 8:30am and finishes at 2:30pm.

Student Absences

To register a student's absence Parents can notify the school by one of the ways below:

1. Via the QParent App

2. Email our office admin@somersethillsss.eq.edu.au and notify of your child/ren's name, length of absence and reason for absence.

3. Absence line (07) 3624 2260 and notify of your child/ren's name, length of absence and reason for absence.

Arriving late & Leaving early

Students arriving after 8:25am must be signed in at the school office before attending class. Students departing school before 2:30pm must be collected from the office and signed out.

Assembly

Whole school assembly is held weekly on Mondays at 2:10pm in the hall. We welcome all Somerset Hills State School families and friends to come along.

Office hours

The school office is open between 8:00 am and 3:00 pm.
